Actor dress
We gave both actors advice on how to dress for the video shoot so that it would link with the typical dress for the indie rock genre. Billy wore fairly skinny jeans with a red polo top and vans trainers which are popular in the indie culture.
Rose wore Jeans, a hoodie and Converse shoes, which are also popular for indie music followers. She had dark eye makeup which added to the moody affect that links to the video.
On the day
On the morning of November 13th we began filming the narrative part to our music video. We used many different areas of Hampstead Heath as our location.
The filming went very well and the two actors looked very natural together as a couple. One problem we came across is that it was a busy Saturday and there were alot of members of public around. This affected us as they kept walking in and out of our shots.
We brought along an extra person as they would be able to tell us their views and suggestions about the video. We found this very useful and believe that it helped us alot whilst filming. Overall we ended up with alot of footage which we are going to look through and begin editing this evening.
We took many photographs of the location, of us filming and of the actors.

Filming session one
Our group began filming on Tuesday 9th of November, but unfortunately neither I nor Sade could make it due to other commitments. Jessica and Chathuri continued the filming without us.
The plan for that days filming was to film the band playing the song to a backing track. The location we used was Beech building in Stanmore College.
The whole group then reviewed the footage the next day and we are all pleased with the outcome. We have a lot of material to edit but we are positive that it is right for our video.
As I was unable to attend the filming session I got a quote from another member in my group, Chathuri, about how she thought the filming went.
"We set up the cameras and organised the instruments. Whilst filming I learnt how to operate the lights, and I was able to arrange the lights the way we wanted to do. Overall I think the filming session went really well, we got alot done and it was successful."
Filming session 2 is to take place on Saturday November 13th

We were meant to meet up with the band to start filming during the October half term but due to complications it wasn’t possible.
We had decided to film during a weekend, and are making sure that we can rent out all equipment needed from the Media office in college.
This weekend (Saturday 6th/Sunday 7th) the band are recording the final copy of ‘Miss You’ which will be used in the final music video.

Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone
As part of our research into music videos and the Indie music genre we looked at many different music videos. Our group thought that this was the song/video that linked to our band song the most. We found the lyrics to be very compatible with our bands song and we thought that this style of music video would fit very well. We wrote out treatment using the idea of this video as a basis.
Band-Group meeting
In the month of October we had our first meeting with the band. Unfortunately Joe couldn’t attend due to other commitments. We discussed the bands history and basics about the music video.
The band brought us 3 different songs to choose from, and after a long discussion debating the pro’s and con’s of each we finally settled on the song ‘Miss You’.
We thought it was very important to make sure we had the bands input in everything. We asked their input on what location they thought we should film in, the clothes that they should wear in the video, and about the song that we chose.

History of Fool's Paradise
When Fool’s Paradise first started out there were 5 band members.
Charlie, Sam, Zach, Joe and Alex
Sam and Charlie had been friends since childhood and had been playing together for around 2 Years. They realised to improve the ‘band’ they would need additional members and came to the conclusion that a guitarist and a drummer were needed. Sam had a friend named Alex, a guitarist, who they decided was right for the band. Alex joined in November 2009. They also invited an old friend, Zach, to join the band on the drums in the month of September.
After a few months Alex realised that being in Fool’s paradise wasn’t right for him and that he wanted to try out different musical styles and therefore left the band.
Alex was replaced in January of the following year by a friend of the band, Joe.
This was set to be the final line up for the band and they then decided to release their first song in January of 2010 on social networking site Facebook.
The band describes themselves as a mix of different genres but mainly Indie/rock music. Younger people/Teenagers who listen to Indie/Rock is the intended audience for the band.
